Upon our honor, we hold in sacred trust the rights and privileges conferred upon us as certified aviation mechanics. Knowing full well that safety and lives of others are dependent upon our skills and judgment, we will never subject others to risks that we are not willing to assume.
We pledge to never undertake or approve work that we feel is beyond the limits of our knowledge, nor will we allow an unqualified person to persuade us to approve aircraft or equipment as airworthy against our better judgment. We will not be influenced by personal gain, nor shall we pass as airworthy any aircraft or equipment about which we are in doubt, either as a result of our inspection, or uncertainty regarding the ability of others who have worked on it to their work satisfactory.
We realized the grave responsibility that is ours – to exercise our judgment on the airworthiness of aircraft and equipment. We pledge unyielding adherence to these precepts for the advancement aviation and the dignity of our profession.
